Studies have shown that an estimated 75% of all Americans over age 35 have some form of gum disease, most of them unaware. In 90% of systemic disease such as diabetes, kidney disease, respiratory problems, and heart disease, there have been links shown to oral health problems. In general, treatment for most forms of periodontal disease are very effective, and we are able to stabilize the condition to prevent it from advancing.
