What to Expect
Your first visit at Leawood Family Dentistry
If you are experiencing dental pain, we will make that our primary concern. Under non-emergency conditions, we will schedule a complete examination including:
- Necessary Digital X-rays (find out more about digital x-rays)
- Periodontal condition assessment
- Oral cancer screening (learn more about oral cancer screenings)
- TMJ and bite evaluation
If further periodontal treatment is not indicated, a thorough dental cleaning will often be done at this appointment. Following the examination, the doctor will discuss any needed treatment and recommendations. If extensive care is indicated, a special appointment may be made to discuss the treatment plan at a greater length. Your questions are always important to us, so never hesitate to ask about anything that you don’t understand or any special concerns you may have regarding your dental care.
